How Does Intimacy Strengthen Relationships [Individually, Coupled, and Spiritually]?

Let's Chat...

What does God tell us in the New Testament about intimacy?

Mark 10:7

6 However, from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ 7 ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, 8 and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh

New King James Version

Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.

English Standard Version

But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.

1 Corinthians 7:4-5

Principles of Marriage

4 The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband. Likewise, the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife. 5 Do not deprive each other, except by mutual consent and for a time, so you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again, so that Satan will not tempt you through your lack of self-control.

New International Version

Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
